Independent factual production company Barcroft Studios has revealed the programming it will take to MIPTV, including a critically acclaimed documentary shot for Channel 4 and four new long form TV series which have been developed using digital insights.

Originally produced for Channel 4 to widespread critical acclaim, Sleeping with the Far Right follows British broadcaster Alice Levine as she attempts to spend a week embedded in a radical racist’s family home, discovering first-hand how their everyday lives are shaped by their beliefs. In the 1 x 60’ film, Levine explores their lives and uncovers what led them to take up their extreme principles.

Too Fat to Dance, follows dancer Charity Holloway who was told she was ‘too fat to dance’ thus inspiring her to set up her own dance troupe for plus-size women. The programme follows Holloway and her team as they travel to a different city each week to audition and train a new troupe to join their movement to show that no one should be defined by their body weight.

Other programmes on the slate include Sickest Eats, a review show that encapsulates the zeitgeist of the instant ‘eat and review’ culture; Love Don’t Judge, a series that features couples on a mission to find acceptance for their unusual relationship; and Homes on the Edge, following modern day pioneers who are making their dream of wilderness-living a reality.

“We are excited to bring another slate of amazing popular factual shows to MIP,” said Barcroft Studios CEO Sam Barcroft. These titles have been developed to super-serve the interests and passions of audiences around the world, by getting them talking about issues which really matter.”
