Prime Entertainment Group and the Museum Channel have inked a new deal for a package of documentaries including select episodes of the series Photographer (10x26’) and the brand-new documentary Isetenkheb’s Egyptian Coffin (1x52’).

Distributed by Canal+ and recently re-launched, the Museum Channel is dedicated to making high quality programmes about arts and the museums of the world. It offers programming in English, Russian and French.

Prime’s previous deals with Museum Channel have included a package of more than 20 hours of arts and culture shows followed by a bundle of music documentaries and series dedicated to photography. In the current deal the channel has gone for portraits of Anne Geddes, Michael Kenna and Lois Greenfield.

Isetenkheb’s Egyptian Coffin is a unique discovery show that follows from up close the restoration of one of the most cherished and mysterious pieces of history, namely an Egyptian sarcophagus covered with hieroglyphics dated from around 664-500 BC.

Commenting on the deal, Prime Entertainment Group managing director David Freydt said: “Museum Channel are great. This is our fourth deal together these last years and we really love working with them, especially for our high-quality cultural programmes airing successfully on their channel in multiple territories.”
