Deutsche Telekom increases number of MagentaTV customers

German telco Deutsche Telekom acquired around 66,000 new customers for its IPTV platform MagentaTV in Q1 2019.
Compared to March 31, 2018, the total number of customers rose by 7.1% to 3.42 million.
The growth in Q1 2019 was higher than in the same period of the previous year, when Telekom recorded 54,000 new IPTV customers.
The number of customers for fibre-based products (FTTH, FTTC/Vectoring) increased by 688,000 in Q1 2019 and reached 12.9 million at the end of March. This was an increase of 24% year-on-year.
