AT&T, Verizon top satisfaction list for service providers

AT&T U-verse and Verizon FiOS are ranked highest among communications service providers (CSPs) in the latest survey of US consumers by the American Customer Satisfaction Index.
In subscription television, U-verse dropped one point from its 2018 top score to a 69 (on a scale of one to 100), but still held onto edge FiOS, which held flat at 68. In streaming, Netflix improved by one point to top the category at 79. DirecTV Now meanwhile finished next to last, dropping one point to 69.
AT&T satellite service DirecTV improved its score from last year by two points to 66. Altice’s Suddenlink brand was down three points to 55 to finish last.
Overall, TV and ISPs held flat with an average scores of 62. Operators improved scores in areas like “streaming video quality” and “call centre satisfaction,” but slipped in areas like “ease of understanding bill.”
