Telenor becomes the first official Myanmar partner of TikTok

Aiming to tap into what it calls the rising popularity of digital video content among users in its home territory, Telenor Myanmar has announced a collaboration with short-video platform TikTok.
Available in over 150 markets in 75 languages on both iOS and Android, TikTok describes itself as the world's leading destination for short-form mobile videos enables users to capture and present “the world's creativity, knowledge, and moments that matter in everyday life.”
Through the partnership, Telenor users will be able to use TikTok by subscribing to the Sate Kyite Kyi data plan that already enables user to enjoy videos from streaming apps such as Viu, MyanFlix, WowPlay, PyonePlay and YouTube.
“We are very excited to become the first official local partner of TikTok in Myanmar. Sate Kyite Kyi is the very first result of the agreement between us and the top video apps and we are delighted to add TikTok to our partners’ list for this innovative data plan,” said Chan May Ling, head of digital services of Telenor Myanmar.
“It will be the one of a kind data plans in Myanmar, providing users with a one-stop shop solution where they can enjoy all of their favourite videos.
