ABC Commercial extends Wiggles licence

ABC Commercial in Australia has extended its agreement with Canadian-based media company Corus Entertainment to bring more of The Wiggles’ acclaimed pre-school programming to Corus’ preschool cable television channel, Treehouse.

The licence agreement will give Corus exclusive broadcast rights to a collection of recently released and upcoming content from The Wiggles’ television catalogue, including the premiere of the group’s upcoming TV series, Emma! Series 2.

Corus will also have exclusive rights to countless studio-recorded specials from The Wiggles’ catalogue, including The Emma & Lachy Show, Wiggle Pop! and The Wiggles’ Big Ballet Day, in addition to non-exclusive rights to their celebrated special Nursery Rhymes 2 – all of which will broadcast on the company’s Treehouse cable TV channel and on the digital Treehouse app, later in 2019.
