Viacom’s leading kids’ channel Nickelodeon, now in its 40th year, has renewed and enhanced some of the biggest hits in its pre-school TV and core kids’ collections, namely PAW Patrol and SpongeBob SquarePants.

The PAW Patrol renewals comprise a seventh season of PAW Patrol, a fifth season of Bubble Guppies and second seasons of Abby Hatcher and Butterbean’s Café and will be part of the network’s new content slate and expanding pre-school portfolio. Nickelodeon is currently home to nine of the top 10 preschool shows on all TV, including number-one ranked PAW Patrol.

In the seventh season featuring26 half-hour episodes produced by Spin Master Entertainment, the heroic pack of pups—Chase, Marshall, Rubble, Skye, Rocky, Zuma, Everest and Tracker—go on super-charged adventures after receiving all-new abilities when a super power replicating baddie, the Copycat, arrives in Adventure Bay.

The new original spin-off series of iconic hit SpongeBob SquarePants has the working title of Kamp Koral. The 13-episode CG-animated series introduces 10-year-old SpongeBob SquarePants during his summer at sleepaway camp. The series is slated to begin production in June at Nickelodeon in Burbank. In the series, SpongeBob and his pals spend the summer building underwater campfires, catching wild jellyfish, and swimming in Lake Yuckymuck at the craziest camp in the kelp forest, Kamp Koral.

“SpongeBob has an incredible universe to expand upon and the greenlight for Kamp Koralis a testament to the strength and longevity of these characters known and loved by generations of fans around the world,” said Ramsey Naito, EVP animation production and development, Nickelodeon.
