US media production company Thuuz Sports has partnered with Kayo Sports, a sports streaming service in Australia, offering Kayo clips as part of its highlights portfolio.
Thuuz uses AI analysis of metadata to measure fan engagement and sentiment around individual sporting events to tailor highlights packages for the use of rights owners and media partners.
Thuuz’s partnership with Kayo will bring cricket and rugby to its portfolio for the first time. It will curate highlights packages for Australia's home cricket matches, the Rugby World Cup in Japan, the Basketball World Cup in China and Australian soccer’s A-League.
Kayo, which officially launched last November in collaboration with Australian telecommunications company Telstra, includes live and on-demand coverage from 50 different sports and leagues.
“Kayo is transforming the way fans consume sport. This new partnership will help deliver more ways to watch, when and how they choose,” said Julian Ogrin, Kayo CEO.
