Quintus inks deal with Off The Fence for YouTube channel

International distribution and media agency Quintus Media has closed a deal with factual producer and distributor Off The Fence, including over 40 hours of programming to be shown on the Free Documentary YouTube channel.

Free Documentary is claimed to be one of the most successful independent documentary channels on YouTube. Its content boasts work from some of the world´s leading distributors and producers and is claimed to reach millions of documentary enthusiasts.

The deal with Quintus covers a diverse range of programming across genres such as science, history, crime and lifestyle. Individual shows include Off The Fence Production’s own content Supercars: The Million Pound Motors (1 x 60’); Forever Young (1 x 60’) produced by Tell Tale Productions; Are You Racist? (1 x 60’) produced by Mindful Media; My Mum Talks To Aliens (1 x 60’) produced by Joined Up Films; Lifers: Behind Bars (2 x 60’) produced by Firecrest Films; and Chain Gang Girls (2 x 60’) from Hoff Productions.

“We are not in the position to co-fund projects yet, but we are definitely starting to become a lucrative second- and third-window exploitation alternative for producers and distributors,” said Quintus Media founder Gerrit Kemming.

“With Off the Fence’s strong reputation for quality programming, I am delighted to offer some fresh and exciting documentaries to our viewers on Free Documentary.”
