US Hispanic channel Telemundo Deportes has seen huge viewership increases across the FIFA Women's World Cup and Copa America tournaments, which it has shown as part of its Summer of Soccer coverage.

Based on national ratings data from Nielsen and digital data from Adobe Analytics, the channel’s Women's World Cup Round of 16 matches averaged a total audience delivery of 363,000 viewers across Telemundo, Universo, NBCSN, TelemundoDeportes.com, the Telemundo Deportes app, and the NBC Sports app. This represented a 73% increase over the 2015 Women’s World Cup.

On digital, so far, the tournament has delivered a total of 22.5 million minutes across Telemundo Deportes’ digital videos.

Monday’s US v Spain match headlined Telemundo’s Women’s World Cup Group Stage results, as the game posted a total audience delivery average of 740,000 viewers, to rank as the most-watched weekday FIFA Women’s World Cup match in Spanish-language television history.

The presentation of the Copa America tournament, which concluded the group stage competition on Monday, averaged a total audience delivery of 1.0 million viewers. Eight of the 18 Copa America matches exceeded 1 million viewers across all platforms — quadrupling the two such games in 2015 — highlighted by 2.1 million viewers for Lionel Messi-led Argentina’s match against Paraguay on 19 June.

On digital, Copa America delivered a total of 47.6 million minutes across Telemundo Deportes digital video estates.
