In its latest foray into the world of hyper-personalised services that can boost the monetisation of online video content, Linius has partnered with sports prediction platform SportsHero to create what the companies call a world-first for sport.

Under the agreement, SportsHero will integrate Linius’ technology throughout its application and white-label /rebranded client solutions, including the Kita Garuda mobile application developed for the Football Association of Indonesia (PSSI) which boasts an engaged fan base of 80 million, over four leagues and 128 teams.

The Linius functionality will see use in attempting to enable every Kita Garuada subscriber to create his or her own soccer channel, customised based on personal preferences and to independently search across PSSI’s video archive to assemble hyper-personalised videos on-the-fly.

“This truly is a world’s first for soccer, or any sport for that matter, and we’re very excited to be working with SportsHero to provide every PSSI soccer fan with the ability to create their own channel,” explained Linius CEO Chris Richardson. “Fans will be able to completely customise content based on their viewing preferences. Millions of fans will have the ability to create, watch and share millions of personalised channels. Our unique data-driven video assembly is delivering personalised TV to the world – no one else can do this.”

“The securing of the Linius technology of the Linius technology is a significant development for SportsHero and has the potential to significantly boost engagement within the Kita Garuda mobile app,” added SportsHero CEO, Tom Lapping. “Personalisation has become a significant trend in video content and we are very excited to be able to offer this to our customers as part of our white label solution. The technology offered through the Kita Garuda mobile app is cutting edge, both in Indonesia and globally, and the integration of the Linius technology will take it to another level.”
