BBC launches Indonesian version of tech show Click

Spreading the reach of the flagship news technology programme into Asia, the BBC is to launch the Indonesian version of Click on partner channel, Kompas TV.
Beginning 7 July, the 24-minute weekly programme will be broadcast at 11.30 Western Indonesian Time and will look at the digital developments that improve lives around the world, with special focus on Indonesian talent and innovation. The programme brings the latest news on apps, gadgets and games.
Kompas TV is one of Indonesia’s leading news TV channels. Commenting on the launch, the channel’s news director Rosianna Silalahi said: “Kompas TV, as a trusted independent news television, warmly welcomes the cooperation with BBC News Indonesia. We hope that this collaboration will be mutually beneficial, helping BBC News Indonesia and Kompas TV complement each other.”
Editor of BBC News Indonesia Olivia Rosalia added: “For the first time, the BBC’s TV definitive global technology guide, Click, has been made available to Indonesian-speaking viewers. Thanks to our rebroadcasting collaboration with Kompas TV, this programme further expands and diversifies the BBC News offer, and will help us tap into new audiences in Indonesia and beyond. We believe the BBC’s Click content will be relevant and useful to our audience.”
Click also will be available on the BBC News Indonesia YouTube channel and will be streamed live on Indonesian over-the-top platforms such as iflix and Hooq.
