    July 17, 2019 11.56 Europe/London By Julian Clover
Mirada has announced it has integrated Netflix into its Iris multiscreen product.
The Spanish company completed the integration ahead of a deployment on the izzi pay-TV platform in Mexico.
Customers can now offer their subscribers access to the streaming service, alongside the ability to pause and play their favourite film or series from their smartphone when watching Netflix content on the set-top box.
“We are thrilled to announce the integration with Netflix as we know that it will help our clients, the operators, to delight their existing customers and attract new customers by transforming their pay TV offering into an entire entertainment hub for their users,” said
    José-Luis Vázquez, CEO, Mirada.
izzi Telecom is Mirada’s largest client in Mexico. The operator introduced Netflix across its service earlier this month.
Mirada already has integrations for other VOD services such as Fox Play and HBO Go.

Integrated software solutions provider Mirada is looking to empower pay-TV operators with its services now after integrating Netflix within its flagship Iris multiscreen solution.

With this integration, all of Mirada’s customers with an agreement with the leading subscription video-on-demand streaming service will now have the option to provide their subscribers with access to Netflix on set-top boxes directly from their pay-TV platform. Mirada will allow multiscreen interactivity such as the ability to pause and play their favourite film or series from their smartphone when watching Netflix content on the STB.

Mirada believes that the integration has high potential to encourage both engagement and consumption on operators’ platforms and is a complement to the other third-party content provider integrations that Mirada currently offers such as Fox Play and HBO Go.

In addition to being able to attract more subscribers to their pay-TV service by facilitating access to popular third-party content, Mirada also sees operators also being to enjoy the advantages of their subscribers spending more time engaged within their pay-TV platform, encouraging consumption of their own content and creating loyal customers. The first operator to take advantage of Mirada’s integration with Netflix is izzi Telecom, Mirada’s largest client in Mexico.

“We are thrilled to announce the integration with Netflix as we know that it will help our clients, the operators, to delight their existing customers and attract new customers by transforming their pay-TV offering into an entire entertainment hub for their users,” commented Mirada CEO José-Luis Vázquez.
