Netflix boosts kids’ originals slate

Netflix has taken the wraps off of seven original preschool series, including a CG animated comedy adventure to premiere this year that serves as an expansion of DreamWorks Animation’s How to Train Your Dragon franchise.
The series will consist of five animated, one nonfiction and one live-action series, all aimed at Netflix’s global audience of kids ages 2-6.
Other previously announced originals for kids on that are in the works include Archibald’s Next Big Thing, Go! Go! Cory Carson and Chico Bon Bon. All of them will be available on Netflix Kids, a portal with parental controls like age restrictions and PINs.
Existing kids’ series on Netflix include Ask the StoryBots, Chip and Potato, Mighty Little Bheem, Motown Magic, Super Monsters, True and the Rainbow Kingdom, Word Party and YooHoo to the Rescue.
