Telekom Romania provides strategic insights

Telekom Romania’s CEO Miroslav Majoros has explained why the company plans to make nearly 12% of its employees redundant.
Speaking exclusively to Ziarul Financiar, he said that the main reasons are digitisation and the simplification of its commercial offer and internal process rather than growing sales.
He added that while Telekom Romania is satisfied with its Q2 results, especially in the mobile sector, it has also seen signs of stabilisation in the fixed sector.
Majoros added that the redundancies have also been prompted by the need to improve the company’s financial results, increase investment and raise salaries in some departments.
