Sony subsidiary Memnon has launched MemnonBox, claimed to be a ‘simple and convenient’ on-demand digitisation service allowing creative professionals to unlock the value of archives, reduce production costs and future-proof assets.

Developed in line with what the company says is the growing demand for scalable asset digitisation, the new in-mail e-commerce service also delivers professional format digitisation for smaller projects enabling users digitise and take advantage of archive assets and legacy content. By re-using archived content, Memnon insists that media organisations can significantly reduce the production costs for new content.

By enabling customers to only pay for what they need, when they need it, MemnonBox is said to also help customers better monetise archives and generate new content at lower costs, and increase efficiency in using both financial and human resources.

“Having served the largest collections and archives around the world, we saw an opportunity to deliver high-quality professional format digitisation for smaller projects on-demand in the most convenient and simple way,” commented head of Memnon Baku Morikuni.

“We’ve ultimately applied our learnings and expertise at Memnon to deliver a tailored offering that brings our high-quality service to a much wider audience and helps organisations unlock unique legacy content in new environments. With projects starting from as little as €399, MemnonBox makes it possible for organisations to convert archives of any scale into valuable assets.”
