Days after revealing that it will be landing in Luxembourg, the Timeless Drama Channel (TDC) is now headed back to its Eastern roots after a deal between owner SPI/FilmBox and UPC Romania.

The channel distribution agreement will see the Turkish drama channel be available in the basic package for all UPC customers and will be broadcast with Romanian subtitles.

Created in partnership with Ay Yapim, one of Turkey’s top producers and creator of many award winning Turkish TV series, TDC offers over 800 hours of content including eight globally acclaimed Turkish TV series: Karadayi, Black Money Love, 20 Minutes, Kurt Seyit & Shura, Moms and Mothers, Red Scarf, Five Brothers and The End. The service has been signed up in a number of countries over the last few months, the latest being in Albania with Digit-Alb, Kosovo’s Kujtesa and most recently the aforementioned Luxembourg deal with POST.

With UPC Romani, TDC joins SPI/FilmBox channels such as FilmBox, FilmBox Premium, FilmBox Extra HD FilmBox Plus and FilmBox Family.

“We are delighted to announce our new channel distribution agreement with UPC, one of the leading cable companies in Romania,” said Tamas Fülöp, regional director of operations at SPI International. “Timeless Drama Channel features more than 600 hours of fresh content and award-winning shows and through our partnership with UPC all programmes will be broadcasting with Romanian subtitles.”
