AMC Networks International names programming SVP

AMC Networks International (AMCNI) has named Patrick Connolly as SVP of Programming and Marketing.

Connolly was named SVP of Programming, AMC/SundanceTV Global in 2018. In his expanded role, he will include overseeing marketing activities for the AMC and SundanceTV global brands alongside AMCNI’s regional brands and channels in more than 130 countries.

In addition, Connolly will continue to lead on-air creative and programming activities for AMC Global and SundanceTV Global and serve as executive producer of all film festival coverage for SundanceTV Global. He will stay in New York.

This expanded role recognizes his innate talent for marketing and promotion as we build on AMCNI’s commitment to bringing audiences premium content.”

Connolly joined AMC Networks in 2011. Prior to his work with AMC/SundanceTV Global, he was a scheduling and programming consultant with SundanceTV in the United States and Showtime. In these roles he helped with planning strategy, program scheduling, and ratings analysis for new series. He began his career in programming at Fox.
