UniMás sees double-digit annual ratings game

US Hispanic broadcaster UniMás delivered double-digit year-over-year audience growth during primetime among total viewers 2+ (up 56% to 397,000), adults 18-49 (up 43% to 180,000) and adults 18-34 (up 22% to 67,000), marking the fifth and eighth consecutive week of audience growth with adults 18-49 and total viewers 2+, respectively.
For the second consecutive week, Noticiero Univision Edición Nocturna increased its audience week-over-week among total viewers 2+ (32% to 398,000) and adults 18-49 (38% to 161,000), marking its highest-rated weekly performance on the UniMás network.
UniMás’ weeknight 10:30 pm comedy block (Vecinos, Nosotros Los Guapos and 40 y 20) delivered more total viewers 2+ (up 10% to 199,000), adults 18-49 (up 34% to 99,000) and adults 18-34 (up 21% to 34,000) than the previous week.
On Sunday night, UniMás out-delivered The CW for the entire night with double-digit audience advantages among adults 18-49 (+17% adv.) and adults 18-34 (+64% adv.) with a line-up that included Cine De Las Estrellas: The Marine and Cine De Las Estrellas: The Matrix Reloaded, marking the eleventh consecutive Sunday that it has outperformed The CW. The Sunday night film line-up also delivered double-digit audience gains to the network’s 6:30 pm to 11:00 pm time period versus the prior week among adults 18-34 (+13% to 98,000).
Driven by Saturday night’s movie line-up including Cineplex: Megamind and Cineplex: Snakes On A Plane, UniMás increased its Saturday 7 to 11 pm time period week-to-week among adults 18-34 (up 5% to 68,000).
UniMás also attracted more total viewers 2+ (+65% adv.), adults 18-49 (+165% adv.) and adults 18-34 (+148% adv.) than the combined audience of Azteca and Estrella TV during primetime.
