Mobile-based real-time, virtual and augmented reality platform provider VRJAM has announced a partnership with live interactive streaming platform Agora to launch a VR event technology platform.
Set to be unveiled at the IBC 2019, the VRJAM:X powered by Agora platform is designed to provide solutions to producers to create real time XR simulations of events that aim to reach large global audiences. The platform is an adaptation of VRJAM’s existing core 3D graphics technology, combined with the real-time audio and video streaming capability developed by Agora.
The joint platform provides an immersive solution that merges live interactive video, real time 3D graphics, 3D motion capture and live audio to deliver what the companies claim is ‘unmatched’ real-time experiences on mobile devices.
“We’re thrilled to reveal our partnership with such a well-respected and like-minded partner,” commented VRJAM CEO and founder Sam Speaight. “Agora and VRJAM are on similar missions to change the way the world communicates and I believe this is the first step into a fruitful and long-lasting relationship. With VRJAM:X powered by Agora [users] can now connect, learn and interact in unimagined ways.”
Agora COO/CRO Reggie Yativ added: “Today’s audiences crave immersive experiences that let them take part in the action live, even if they’re not physically at an event. VRJAM is bringing the fun and excitement of real-time VR and AR experiences to people everywhere, so we couldn’t be more excited to partner with and power such a unique and innovative platform.”
