Siti appoints Anil Malhotra as CEO

Indian multi system operator (MSO) Siti Networks has appointed Anil Malhotra as chief executive officer (CEO) with immediate effect,

Having been appointed the company’s chief operating officer in 2011, Malhotra has worked in a number of leadership positions across its parent, the Essel Group. He replaces chief business transformation officer Rajesh Sethi, who is leaving Siti Networks.

Malhotra has been tasked with spearheading the business following the implementation of the New Tariff Order, and to make Siti's offerings more robust through smarter business models and new innovative ways to connect with customers through varied products and services.

With over 34 years of experience across the cable TV industry, Malhotra has worked in the areas of media distribution, technology, content, regulatory compliances and sales operations. He has a proven track record of amalgamating progressive leadership and entrepreneurial spirit throughout his career. Prior to joining Siti, Malhotra served as president (North India) for InCablenet, a distribution vertical of Hinduja Group.

Malhotra has also been an active member of various government and industry bodies including the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting task forces for the implementation of digital addressable systems (DAS) regulations and the new tariff order, as well as the All India Digital Cable Federation.

Malhotra holds a masters degree in physics from Dehradun.
