UK-based global rights collection agency 560 Media has signed a secondary television rights management deal with global entertainment production house and creator Fremantle.

560 Media believes that the global secondary rights market is worth over £500 million per annum and the deal includes the management of retransmission rights, private copy levies, educational copying and public performance, amongst other rights, for its UK-based distribution business and many of its local production offices around the world.

“I am delighted to be working with Jill Pocock, Gillian Ahluwalia and the Fremantle team again,” said 560 Media CEO and founder John O’Sullivan commenting on the deal.

“The Fremantle brand is iconic and it’s a privilege for my team and I to have been chosen to work on their irresistible catalogue. Our philosophy is to provide our services to a select number of customers and to do it well. The 560 team is made up of specialists who have a true understanding of how the collection process works. The rapid collection of receipts and disbursement to our clients is paramount.”

Fremantle head of rights Jill Pocock added: “We are delighted to be working with John once again. His passion and knowledge of the secondary rights market is exceptional and makes 560 Media our ideal partner. John and his team provide excellent customer service and guidance in an evolving market.”
