Danish IPTV and OTT software provider Nordija A/S has announced plans to launch its Developer Programme at IBC 2019.

According to Nordija, the demand from operators and telcos to gain more flexibility and customisation opportunities in TV and VOD solutions is increasing. The programme will give customers and partners access to all front-end source code and enable them to enhance and co-create the end user experience.

“We are seeing a growing interest towards gaining more control of the software solution from customers and partners and especially these days where consumers are expecting more and more of their service provider when it comes to the user experience,” said Nordija CEO Thomas Christensen.

“With this programme we are offering our customers and partners a tool to build, redefine, design and launch modifications and patches on top of the fokusOn platform, and on their own time. We believe this can play a vital role in carrying forward the IPTV and OTT industry and be of huge advantage for operators and telcos in delivering a relevant and wholesome TV and on-demand service.”

Lars Vange, the company’s CTO, added: “Nordija has with its open APIs and open-source components always been a front-runner in delivering solutions with an open mind. Adding our developer programme to our product has been a long term dream, and I am very pleased that we now have the right tool sets in place to unleash our customers’ developers and cannot wait to see where they will bring our platform in the near future”.
