Channel 4 launches simulcast HD channel

Channel 4 has launched a simulcast hi-def channel on Sky.

Channel 4 HD will be airing HD versions of shows where avaialble including Ugly Betty and (from spring next year) Hollyoaks. Also upcoming are a selection of HD movies and live concert footage bands including Keane and Scissor Sisters. The Channel is aiming to show around 10 films and series episodes in HD per week.
