Germany’s national public broadcaster, Zweites Deutsches Fernsehen (ZDF), has acquired a package of documentaries from Prime Entertainment Group.
Prime’s documentaries will air on ZDF, presenting a range of factual programmes in the fields of politics, global and European affairs, current history, social issues, economics and consumer advice.
Among others, ZDF is acquiring The True Story of Angelina Jolie, Love and Sex in North Africa and The True Story of Madonna (the latter is a renewal of an existing distribution agreement).
“We are glad to make this new deal with our long-time partner ZDF,” said Alexandra Marguerite, head of sales at Prime. “It is a true satisfaction to see that our exclusive documentaries featuring pop culture icons and crucial social issues appeal to the audience of such important partners like ZDF. We are truly thrilled they trust Prime in bringing the best quality content to their viewers”.
