ZEE5 inks integration deal with OnePlus TVs

Indian video streaming platform ZEE5 has formed a distribution partnership with Chinese smartphone manufacturer OnePlus for its soon-to-be launched smart TV sets, OnePlus TV.
Under the tie-up, ZEE5 will come pre-installed on all OnePlus TVs, providing access to a wide range of content in 12 languages, including originals, Indian and Hollywood films, TV shows, music videos, children’s animations, live TV channels and health and lifestyle.

With this partnership, consumers are in for a treat as they will be served with ZEE5’s massive content library and OnePlus’ state-of-the-art innovations which will further elevate content viewing experience on smart TVs,” said Manpreet Bumrah, business development & commercial head, ZEE5 India.
Vikas Agarwal, general manager, OnePlus India added: “With the much-awaited upcoming launch of our first-ever OnePlus TV, we are very happy to be partnering with ZEE5 to offer our users extensive content across genres for a seamless, variated viewing experience.”
The news follows hot on the heels from ZEE5’s tie-up with Siti Broadband to increase the video-on-demand (VOD) platform’s national reach, as well as a partnership with Lebara Australia to reach the diaspora down under .
In 2019 ZEE5 has rolled out 25 original shows and is committed to launching 72 or more shows by March 2020. It has crossed 70 million gross downloads since launch on the Play Store and had 76.4 million global monthly active users globally as of June 2019.
