Looking to launch the formats at MIPCOM, content development, financing and executive producing company Fugitive has signed an initial 12-month first-look deal with formats and ideas house Little Delicious Media.

Little Delicious was founded earlier in 2019 by Dave Winnan and Spencer Austin. The former boasts a long history on formats and has developed and launched more than 100 productions globally, including major international brands such as I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, Love Island and The Chase from his time as VP of global format development and production at ITV.

Under the terms of the deal, Fugitive’s Anthony Kimble and Merrily Ross will have exclusive Dave Winnan and Spencer Austin’s representation rights to anything created during this period and will work closely with Little Delicious Media to develop ideas and find producer and broadcaster partners around the globe.

Fugitive and Little Delicious Media’s relationship will begin with Fugitive launching three of the company’s factual entertainment formats in Cannes, namely 24 Hour Dates, Curl Up and Dye, and Boom or Bust. 24 Hour Dates is a relationship format that sees hopefuls looking for love sent locked together in a room for a day to see if love can bloom. Curl Up and Dye is a daily competition show where the scissors come out as local hair salons go head-to-head to see who has the best skills in town. Boom or Bust plays to the changing fortunes of the UK high street, which is seeing smaller local shops boom at the expense of major chains. Local entrepreneurs with a wide range of business ideas battle for the attention of millionaire investors as they sell their goods and services side-by-side in pop-up shops.

Commenting on the deal, Merrily Ross said: “In just a few short months, Dave and Spencer have successfully created a slate of stand-out, winning formats, with these three for MIPCOM just the tip of the iceberg. We are incredibly excited to work alongside such talented people bursting with ideas and look forward to helping the Little Delicious Media name develop and grow worldwide.”

Winnan added: “Smart, focused and with an impressive contacts book, Fugitive has shown great enthusiasm for our work to date and we are delighted that our initial slate will get a swift debut at MIPCOM next month. As both our companies feature experienced hands doing things a bit differently, I also feel our approaches to doing business are similar, and hopefully, this will make for a successful and enduring partnership.”
