Aiming to create exclusive editorial content for exhibitors to directly engage with the filmgoing community, and in its first for the newly-formed company, the media unit of Boxoffice Studios has announced a content partnership with Cinemark Theatres.
Part of the Paris-based Webedia Group, Hollywood-based Boxoffice Studios claims to be the leading provider of technology and data for the global film industry.
The company’s business model is to partner with search and discovery platforms, as well as studios and exhibitors to help them connect with filmgoers and fans. It will offer a collection of premium products including websites, mobile applications, CRM and online ticketing solutions. The company’s media division will organise all of The Boxoffice Company’s consumer-facing media publishing platforms and operations including AlloCine, Adoro Cinema and Sensacine.
As part of the new deal, The Boxoffice Studios will create original content across Cinemark’s editorial, video, and social platforms in a bid to strengthen its position as a premium out-of-home entertainment centre. The Boxoffice Company is the largest and most prominent enterprise of its kind and serves the publishing, technology and data needs of the global cinema industry.
“We believe in the magic of cinema and propelling the box office to its full potential. The launch of The Boxoffice Studios allows us to utilise our global media experts to maximise box office performance worldwide,” said president of The Boxoffice Company Stan Ruszkowski. “We are thrilled to partner with Cinemark, an innovative and thought-leading exhibitor, and collaborate to fully realise the capabilities and power of our media, tech, and data.”
