CGR, RealD announce multi-year 3D equipment partnership

French independent theatre chain CGR Cinémas has continued its partnership with visual technology provider RealD to provide 3D equipment and glasses for its premises in France to create a premium 3D cinema experience.
RealD claims to have the world's largest 3D cinema platform and its network of theatres includes more than 30,000 installed screens in 75 countries with over 1,200 exhibition partners. It says that it is “delighted” to partner with such a progressive company as CGR.
“Together we will strive to continually develop technology and screen the latest and greatest movies to consumers in the way they were meant to be seen; in spectacular, bright and crisp RealD 3D,” commented John Trafford-Owen, managing director of RealD Europe.
CGR CEO Jocelyn Bouyssy added; “[We are] proud to continue our relationship with RealD to offer industry leading 3D at our locations. It has always been our goal to create the best 3D experience for our consumers which RealD technology provides. Movies like the Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker, The Upcoming Jumanji: The Next Level & Birds Of Prey or family entertainment lke Frozen 2 and Maleficent: Mistress Of Evil which are made to be seen in 3D. We believe in the future of the 3D market and the long-term partnership with RealD reflects that.”
