French producer and distributor Prime Entertainment Group has closed more deals for its acclaimed documentary Mediterranean Sea, this time with Czech Republic public broadcaster Česká Televise.

Initially produced for leading broadcasting group France Télévisions, the 1 x 52’ 4K programme won best movie at the Seafest festival at Saint-Petersburg in Russia and the bronze Galathea, organised by the International Galathea Festival for sea life at Hyeres in France.

Česká Televise currently broadcasts six channels. In addition to the main channels ČT1 and ČT2, the brand has since 2005 introduced new networks dedicated to news, art, culture, sports and a children’s channel. Over the years the company has taken from Prime a number of programmes including investigation documentary Cities of Crime (5 x 52’) and The True Story of Angelina Jolie (1 x 52’).

“We are very happy to have closed this deal with Česká Televise,” said Prime Entertainment Group head of sales, Alexandra Marguerite. “[It has] been [one of the most] important business partners in the past with whom we’ve had successful relationships. We are very happy our content is appealing to its audience and hope to continue offering the variety of programmes in the future.”
