Global online content marketplace Vuulr has entered into a major partnership with theatrical film and television programming provider SPI International.
The Vuulr content marketplace was first launched at the 2018 Asia TV Forum and Market and since then has aggregated over 30,000 hours of TV and film content, spanning 60 genres and 70 languages. Vuulr’s business model sees content discovery and acquisition take place 24/7 with buyers negotiating directly with distributors, and deals completed online in days.
“We’re excited to introduce SPI International’s impressive catalogue of top quality films and documentaries to our global community of buyers in the marketplace,” remarked Vuulr chief executive officer Ian McKee. “This partnership is strategically aligned with our priority to make high quality content accessible to buyers in diverse markets, enabling content acquisition and transactions to be done 24/7, anywhere in the world.”
SPI International will be listing more than 500 titles on the Vuulr marketplace, including feature films, arthouse movies, documentaries and lifestyle programming. “We are excited to partner with Vuulr to make hundreds of our premium titles ranging from visually ground-breaking documentaries to Hollywood blockbusters and critically-acclaimed movies accessible to audiences across the globe,” added Hubert Ornass-Kubacki, head of content sales at SPI International.
