XStreamity - v5.67
V 5.67 - 14/10/2026

.
- Added new setting to prompt for auto update - Needs turning on in main settings

- Added new setting to turn on/off epg auto update malcolmp

- Removed epg update lock code - no longer needed now Xstreamity and Xklass are merged into 1 plugin.

- Amended update path for old wget busybox pontiak

- Added a restart enigma2 question after auto update

- Updated all PO files and used AI to add in missing translations - please review your own language files. AI has purposely amended and shortened some of them.

I think one of the original translations that someone provided actually said "which human skin do you want to use". :zany face:

malcolmp you never answered where your epg files are now being saved.

XStreamity v5.68
V 5.68 - 17/10/2026
Small update to fix a python 2.7 issue

On Python 2, the last Twisted release (20.3) defines ssl.ClientContextFactory as an old-style class, so super(SNIFactory, self) raises TypeError: must be type, not classobj and every HTTPS picon and EPG download fails. Calling the parent method directly works on both Python 2 and 3, and the behaviour on Python 3 is unchanged.

XStreamity v5.73

I have been studying someone's debug log regarding the loading wheel showing when zapping and the box temporarily freezing.

I think it's his provider referencing bad picons - but I have made some further amends to help speed up zapping in case my code is partially to blame.

And the end of the day its IPTV. Its never going to be perfect.

Added unique serviceref to all playing streams - to prevent a caching crash on openpli

Aspect ratio amends - to reduce threading issues

Live player epg refresh timeout amends - to speed up zapping on slow servers
