French classical music, jazz and dance channel Mezzo has inked a content deal with international producer and distributor Prime Entertainment Group for two performance documentaries based on the choreography of Blanca Li.
Mezzo launched in 1996 and since April 2010, the Mezzo brand has been available in two complementary forms which offer different programs every month: Mezzo, the channel for artists, biographical documentaries and repertoires, and Mezzo Live HD with a programming dedicated to broadcasting shows, live music concerts and dance programmes.
The deal with Prime is for shows documentaries Eletro Kif (1 x 67) and Robot! (1 x 87). The shows are the latest that Mezzo has taken from Prime such as Count Basie at Carnegie Hall (1x 120), Saxophone Colossus Featuring Sunny Rollins (1x58), Black Wax Featuring Gil Scott Hιron (1x79), Sun Ra: A Joyful noise (1x60), Gospel According to Al Green (1 x 94) and the biographical documentary Nat King Cole Stardust Memories.
Commenting on the new deals, Prime head of sales Alexandra Marguerite said: We are very happy to count the channel Mezzo among our partners. We are very happy to continue providing their channels with some of our best performing arts programs and biographical portraits of artists.
