Hello, i'm new here and I seek help because I have a DreamBox dm800 se since a long time that I bought from someone but it doesn't work anymore because I never updated the Softcam.key file.
I've found some user here posting the updated file but when i remplace it in Filezilla it doesn't work. I don't really know how to use it and what i do wrong.
I'm a total beginner but i hope someone can help me finding a solution :)

I don't really know how this work because i'm not the one that installed it years ago, but i can maybe tell you that I can connect to the DreamBox with his ip from my computer on OpenWebif and the "Operative system" on my box is OpenPli 4, it's a version of enigma from 2014 (I don't even know what is this).

Okay I see, where can i find if one is installed and how to install one ? But do you mean on my computer or in the dreambox itself ? And does my actual configuration is ok with that ?

Ok i'm back, buuuuut I think I did shit with my receiver, I tried to do the auto update on it but it went wrong and now I can't access the main menu anymore it search the DHCP without succeeding, I think it's better that I start over and flash a fresh version of the os, do you have any advices ? I can't access the receiver by my computer anymore.

edit : I would really love finding a guide for beginners to understand the whole procedure, I'm pretty interested in this topic but i can't find somewhere to start anywhere ^^

Advice:
Try to flash a lot of image...(for practice)
Have a very good looking to your dream (is it a cable or sat tuner ?)
Your softcam.key will now NOT help you much (to old)
You need a EMU-lator to get some encrypted channels (cccam, oscam...)
I think an guenuine plastique card can be read with oscam & the reader of your dream for swiss cable (bur you need a DVB-C tuner.
If you have a french friend, he can buy you a TNT card for 15€
You can buy a porn card for one year (50 to 150€)
You can pay a server
You can add software to get IPTV channels (this is streaming instead cardsharing that just exchange crypto).
