Octagon HD Background Converter

Now you can convert any Jpeg picture or any other Jpeg file to Mpeg file to load on to Octagon HD as background

OCTAGON_USB_Background-Converter-ENG.exe

Converter for Menu Main Image and Radio Image. Please use JPEG pictures for converting Background Format : .mpg
Jpeg picture size max. 720x576 pixel

Instruction :

1. Open file: OCTAGON_USB_Background-Converter-ENG.exe
2. Press "Select Image file" ...new window opens up
3. Select a suitable JPEG picture (max. 720x576 pixel)
4. Press "Save as ...and a new window opens up then select a folder to save it into
5. Press "Convert Background". And you'll see: "Status : Converting wait..."
6. Converting finished

Instruction Background to Receiver :
You can update Background files either with USB Stick or with OctagonSoftTool v1.00.exe Program (RS232).

With USB Stick :

1. Copy Background file (.mpg) to USB Stick
2. Insert USB Stick into Receiver
3. Select mpg File and press OK and comfirm update START with OK
4. Receiver will update the background and reboot
5. Press Menu - System Setup - OSD
Select Main Image & Radio Image User and EXIT & OK to save


With OctagonSoftTool v1.00.exe (RS232):

1. Turn OFF STB from Power Switch at rear
2. Connect STB & RS232 Cable to PC
3. Switch ON STB
4. Open program: "OctagonSoftTool v1.00.exe"
5. Press COM 1-4 Icon and select COM Port 1-4
6. Press Connect Icon and select YES
7. Now Connecting ready STB to PC
8. Important: STB still on Standby mode
9. Press IMAGE Icon and select OK
10.Select Background file (.mpg)
11.Wait for update to finish and STB will now reboot
12.Press Menu - System Setup - OSD
Select Main Image & Radio Image User and EXIT & OK to save

Important : For OCTAGON SF918, SF908, SF818 und SF718 models only

-select menu online update -> Download to STB
-confirm query with ok
-select right Com port
-switch on your Box and wait until "Done" appears
