J:COM and Plume to rollout smart home services across Japan

Cable operators across Japan are to offer advanced smart home services following an agreement between J:COM and Plume.

J:COM, which has 5.5 million subscribers of its own, will be able to distribute Plume’s platform to cable operators across the country.

Agreements are already in place with Chupicom Fureai, Chupicom Hiroshima, Imizu Cable Network and Kanazawa Cable expected to go live in July.

J:COM will offer Plume’s full suite of products, including Haystack – Plume’s intelligent suite of support services, tools and data dashboards – that provides insight to enable service providers to manage subscribers more effectively.
