France 24 in English racks up over 2.5MN viewers each week in Kenya, Ghana

In what the Paris-based new station shows is its increasing relevance in the continent outside of traditional Francophonic territories and feeding people’s need for trustworthy information is growing, France 24 in English has increased its presence in two Anglophonic African countries.

France24 English 19JUly2020According to a study conducted by Kantar-TNS, every week more than 2.5 million individuals in Kenya and Ghana, representing 14% of the urban population, watch France 24. Moreover, more than a third (37%) of those surveyed claim they know the channel.

The study was conducted from 21 February to 4 March 2000 among 2000 individuals, 15 years old and older and 300 managers and executives.

Noting what it says is evidence of growing popularity amongst leaders, managers and executives France 24 revealed that 20% of this senior management demographic watch the channel each week, and almost 50% of them claim they know it.

France 24 concluded that the research results show that is perceived as a “relevant” and from which viewers enjoy its global outlook, helping them stay informed with all the latest international news.
