Orange saw its revenues fall by 0.4% year-on-year to €10,375 million in the second quarter as a direct result of the Covid-19 pandemic.

In its latest set of results the company notes that those in France and Africa & Middle East rose 2.7% and 1.3% respectively, almost completely offsetting the combined decline in other segments: Spain (-6.8%), Europe (- 3.6%) and Enterprise (-3.3%).

In Q2 EBITDAaL fell 1.8% year-on-year to €3,312 million, while consolidated net income for the first half of this year amounted to €1,016 million, down 10.1% on the same period last year.

Orange had 10.8 million converged customers as of June 30, or 2.1% more than a year earlier and further strengthening its position as the leading converged operator in Europe.

Significantly, despite the lockdown it posted a record 238,000 net fibre customer additions in France in Q2 and also saw strong growth in Poland, where it had 44,000 net additions.
