Weather delays first Ariane launch post Covid
AUGUST 14, 2020 11.05 EUROPE/LONDON BY JULIAN CLOVER
Unfavourable wind conditions have lead to the postponement of the first Ariane launch since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic.
In a statement, the company said unfavourable wind conditions at altitude above the Spaceport in French Guiana has resulted in the decision to not initiate the final phase of launch preparation operations for Flight VA253.
The launch, originally scheduled for Friday, will deploy Galaxy 30 for Intelsat, BSAT-4b for B-SAT and SpaceLogistics’ Mission Extension Vehicle-2 (MEV-2).
