Bonjour
Please can you send me the procedure to configure SBCL with aston simba, which version of vplug and aston flash

The new format is confusing at first and gets some getting used to. But it's not that bad after you know what is where. Nothing beats the simplicity of human-editable text files. But I'm sure there is a reason for using .db files instead of plain text.
The only shortcoming I see is that tools that auto-update softcam.key from the web don't work. Current version of vplug -1.4.2 - does not any more auto-roll keys for BEV and D* (unless I'm missing something; mine stopped a day or 2 ago). And so keys have to be manually updated when they change. This process used to be 'automatic' when a third-party program was set up to update softcam from the web. Now a multi step manual edit is required.
I think at some point auto-update from web was even built right into vplug. It seems to be missing now. Or - again - I have not set my vplug up correctly.
Thx,
Michael
Captain,
Thanks a lot of your post. I got it to work again. So no need to waste your time with log files. But please allow me to explain why I had the problem in the first place.
Errors of my way are too many to list hereSuffice it to say - I have never actually run the 'full installer' of the 'new generation' of vplug (because of the irrational fear of running installers; I know - allowing dlls to be loaded is no different...).
With every new release of vplug - I read the readme and it still lists the plugins folder as the location of all files and makes no mention of the OTHER folder vplug now likes to use. I'm guessing the new folder was introduced to keep the plugins folder tidy. And I'm also guessing using the new folder (vPlug Files Center) is largely optional (and defined in the ini - if present).
Well, my plugins folder was a gigantic mess of files collected over the past 2 years or so. But the 'new generation' of vplug worked just fine for many months - until a day or 2 ago when it stopped. Now that I deleted everything and did the 'proper' installation from scratch - I'm back in business. The only other thing I have in my plugins folder by the way is the AV Broadcaster (a dll and a folder that comes with AV Broadcaster; great for sending live TV stream to my PSP).
I'm sure the vplug install procedure is explained some place on the Internet - but I only know of this site as source of both vplug updates and information on 'testing.' Since I never saw any mention neither here noor in the readme of the new directory structure - I assumed things were still the way they have been for what seems like years now. I guess it finally caught up with me
So thanks again for your help!
Michael

Glad you got it going again Michael![]()
Please Can I use The SBCL + Vlpug program to decrypt TPS on ASTON SIMBA and which modification can be used on the terminal to get the keys
Thanks
Thanks for the reply. I've just updated to the new 1.4.2 as you advise later in the thread, and I have to admit, it was easier for me to understand. We'll see how autoroll goes when the keys are next changed.
I really didn't mean it to be insulting to the programmers, I was merely voicing my frustration. I'm a person that hates change. :p
But though it's different than I'm used to, I'm sure I'll adapt fine. I think I have it going now.
Thanks again.
Hey man, ....work perfect! thank you...
Great Work. Just Perfect.
You're the best.
