SAB sky 4700 HD problem

Hello,

I have a SAB sky 4700 HD and i tried ( yeah i know stupid idea but i blame COVID-19) to upgrade the firmware. after the upgrade the screen shoed OFF and left it there for 15 minutes. since the device was not powering on i tried to unplug it and plug it again. nothing happend. now the display after the unplug doesn;t say OFF the reciever doesn;t do anything. is there any hope to recover it if i use the RS-232 port?

Hi,

First method:

You need a formatted USB drive.
Put the update in the USB stick, put it in the receiver and turn it off completely
- Press the power button on the front of the receiver and connect it to electricity at the same time, wait for the receiver to write Load, then leave it until it finishes updating and you displays End.
Turn off your receiver. then turn it back on. After the update process, all settings and channels will be lost, so you need to search for channels again.

The second method:

The update via the loader, you will find a special Tutorial in which a detailed explanation of how to deal with the loader and the update.
You need an RS 232 cable.
If you do not find it, you can create it according to this diagram as shown in the picture.

do you believe that even without any indecation or led that with a formated usb and the SKY4700_20150519_V1.25B7_patch inside that the device will boot even that i ran the eromclient.asb ?
also another question what format should the usb be fat or ntfs

Regarding the update, I downloaded it directly from the official website and it is 100% compatible with your receiver.
The USB drive must be formatted as Fat.
