Canal+ Polska doubles profit

Canal+ Polska has posted a net profit of PLN178.25 million (€39.1 million) for 2020.

This, according to Wirtualne Media>, was double the PLN88.12 million figure a year earlier.

At the same time, its revenues rose by 5.2% to PLN2.41 billion and costs by 3.4% to PLN2.16 billion.

Pay-TV and other telecom services contributed PLN1.84 billion towards the company’s revenues in 2020, with programme rights and film distribution a further PLN423 million.

Canal+ Polska is majority (51%) owned by Canal+ Group, with TVN Media (32%) and a subsidiary of Liberty Global (17%) holding the remaining shares.
