Walt Disney will raise the cost of its sport streaming service ESPN+ by 17% in the US next month.

However, reports Bloomberg, the price of a bundle that also includes the company’s two other streaming services Disney+ and Hulu will remain unchanged.

From August 13, ESPN+ will cost $7 a month rather than the current $6, while the annual subscription will increase from $60 to $70.

The package containing Disney+ will still cost $14 a month.

Disney has recently invested heavily in sports rights for, amongst others, LaLiga and just extended its Wimbledon tennis rights until 2035.

Walt Disney most recently reported that ESPN+, which was launched in April 2018, has 13.8 million subscribers.

Separately, Walt Disney has announced that over the weekend Marvel Studios’ Black Widow surpassed $215 million globally between Box Office and Disney+ Premier Access.
