Azbox HD??

Reading this tread I am very confused,opinions about this box are very polarized(Maybe hidden agends).I am very interested in this box but still think there are a few issues to iron out,so who is right?

This is no agent I'm just a dissapointed buyer who bought the AZBox HD Elite, promising on papers too much, very good price for its facilities and characteristics again on paper. Out of the box is the problem. Since was unable to read in any of the CI Slots or the smart card reader whereas my old receiver had no problem in reading the same card. The ehternet upgrade worked and connection worked ok but didn't solve the problem. I sent email to AZBox about the problem without an answer for a week now. My receiver is in the box unused waiting.... I'd rather buying a more expensive receiver used for more time in the market. This one i think is for those people having a lot of time searching for things in the web to improve/ solve its problems.
For me when buying a thing has to do what it says to the box. Anyway I' m thinking selling the receiver so if u r interested give an offer....

ok i think is great reciever is new so give the time for polish the firm good any reciever new have bugs i no good web with good support for the azbox hd linux elite and premium send me pm and i give you the details i remember dm 800 how many bugs i have and the dm 8000 still not ready 100 pour cent so just have to wait litle . sorry for my english

joke cccam is working good i test it and i use ccam 2.0.4 so the box is briliant beter then dm 800 not dm 8000 :D

Cccam on AzBox HD is not original Cccam. Author off ccam is don t have anything with this version on AzBox receivers.

And because this info Cccam on dreambox much batter working than AzBox

yes it true that modified version of mipsel cccam working for now on Azbox Hd. And yes it is true that it is nothing to do with cccam team releases as well. Actually it was possible to implement cccam evem earlier, but it was quite difficult to develop API Module without sourcecode (again weired Opensat policy). Same goes to many other emus. Since my first post about Azbox HD there have some improvements in firmware, but not to much. Mainly changes considering jukebox functions like Mongolian language support on subtitles when playing MKV files ( who cares about it?! ) :) But as a twin tuner STB it's still virtually usless. Firmware is still beta, more then a year for now! This is because no other team is working on it, just because Opensat does not want it. Generaly development is extremly slow.

Does not exist eny CCcam TEAM but Dremultimeida Team...I can show you even by photo same like Gemini team,...all bullshits..

Fist at all I aways mentioned that my point of view is not absolute, it's not a dogma for sake...... But I've always done my best for most of forum users to help to find that usefull information (whatever question is) and not to bee ripped off.
So there is no need to be angry..... I just give some information..... for others it's their own choice to take it to consideration or not.

If you mean that there is no PIP (picture in picture) and you can not whach one channel while recording another..... then it's really working fine.... though I disagree ..... And what do you mean by sayng

Just pay attention for dates between the posts......it's half a year or so....some things may change

It's not you to tell me what to do.... MainFrame will judge my actions and what is good for forum and what is not........

Besides it's really funny to hear how some people may sout that AzBox HD is "pefect", there is no such a thing like Perfect STB all makes and models have their own advantages and disadvantages, mistakes in design or software, good support or complete lack of it..... Dreambox, Technomate, DGS and many others are not eception...
There more iportant thing is that some take criticism to consideration and impoving their products, while others just place the scam all over internet

Dear Mate its been almost 2 years now of what u all have been discussing. i have dm800 clone at the moment and wanted to get something advance. i saw 2 boxes in contention one was vu+ duo and second was azbox premium. vu+ duo looks very good but its quite costly and become out of reach. azbox with lots feature which are actually extra oridinary but i saw mix of opnions gernally they were in 2009 mostly. i am trying to decide on azbox premium version should i go for it. i saw now 2-3 teams are developing images for it and even official version is getting stable. is it worth to get it now.

some queries in comparison to my dm800:-

a) does AZ tuner better than m tuner of dm800 (i mean more sensitive to catch weak signal)
b) does premium version do the blind scan
c) does its tuner gets mpeg-4 dvbs2 hd signal with symbol rate of around 45000
d) does AZ play AC3 audio
e) does its now compatible with 2XdvbS2 tuners
f) does 2Xdvbs2 will make me to watch one channel to record and one to watch.
g) does AZ has better video and audio than Dm800.
h) Which smart card encryption it reads.
i) does clone version of AZ premium works same as original works. I mean dm800 clone is working fine no issues with it till date so what about azpremium clone ?
j) does now all ccams work on Az premium like ccam 2.2.1
k) which team is able to make the best and stable image for az box till date.
l) Hows official firmware now after the update of april 2011.

the outcome of the receiver is that it has excelent hardware but had many problems with the firm . official is at pause of development right now , but latest verion is working well . opensat says that is working with neutrino and android.
it also works as a media player but has issues with mkv 1080p and dts . all other works fine . also ac3 sound is ok .

thank u so much for your expert views. So on all this means the box is excellent with lots of extra features. Though we cant deny the fact that the firmware is about to get 100% stable which as we all know it takes time to get settled.

So this means i can go ahead on buying the azbox to explore the world of multimedia along with sat world in one box.

Can u just suggest me price of Azbox premium and premium + and availability in Indian region.
