Eutelsat securing future business

Eutelsat says it has a growing backlog representing three and a half year’s worth of revenues.

Included is the renewal of Sky Italia’s contract to broadcast from the Hot Bird neighbourhood and an incremental capacity commitment from Multichoice in sub-Saharan Africa.

The Paris-based satellite operator has also been developing its government services business with a €100 million contract for a EGNOS payload on Eutelsat 13G and broaband capacity agreements with Telecom Italia and Orange.

Total revenues for 2020/21 were down 3.5% at €1,234 million, down 3.5%, including broadcast revenues of €741 million.
