Viaplay shines in Netflix-dominated Poland

The streaming service Viaplay had nearly 2.25 million internet and mobile app users in September, its first full month of operation in Poland.

This, according to analysis by Wirtualne Media>, quoting Mediapanel, compared to 1.27 million in August, when the service made its debut.

Viaplay’s reach in September was 7.71%, compared to 4.39% a month earlier.

Meanwhile, Netflix continued to dominate among VOD services in the country. It was accessed by 11.37 million internet and mobile app users and had a reach of 38.98% in September.

However, the number of internet users was 4.8% less than a month earlier.

Despite this, its user total was almost three time higher than second placed WP, which had 4.49 million in September.
