VICE TV France to close on November 22

VICE TV is to shutter its linear channel in France on November 22, ending a two-year exclusivity with Canal+.

The documentary channel is moving to a new strategy that will “diversify its content distribution and licensing model”. VICE TV has said it remains keen to develop partnerships with Canal+ or any other players in the French market.

VICE has already signed an agreement with Samsung Plus TV, where it is being distributed as one of its FAST ( free, ad-supported streaming TV) channels.
