The number of smart TV sales in Russia is expected to fall by 28% this year.

However, according to the findings of a study by J’son & Partners published by Telecom Daily, the situation will start to change by 2024, after which the market will gradually begin to recover.

The study also says that a total of 4.56 million smart TVs were sold in the country in 2021.

This was lower than the previous year due to a number of factors including reduced effects of the pandemic and higher prices for semiconductors.

Sales were boosted in 2020 by the growing popularity of OTT services during the pandemic.
