Changes loom for Telekom Slovenije

The management of Telekom Slovenije has convened a general meeting on September 9 to decide on replacing the company’s supervisory board.

N1 reports that Kad, which owns 5.59% of the Slovenian incumbent, is proposing the dismissal of five members of the board.

It adds that its reasons include an agreement the telco entered into this March, along with DBA Information Technology and DBA Group, to buy the company Actual I.T for €30 million.

It was estimated that the transaction would be completed within six months but reports say Actual I.T was overvalued.

Changes in Telekom Slovenije’s supervisory board are likely to be followed by ones in its management.

The telco is majority (62.54%) owned by the Republic of Slovenia, with other shareholders including the Slovenian State Holding (4.25%) and domestic and foreign individuals (13.87%).
