Streaming boost to Sky subscriptions

The number of subscribers to Sky’s TV services increased in the quarter to September, following a series of losses.
The Comcast unit reported a decrease in nine-month revenue of 11% to $13.5 billion following previous falls in direct-to-consumer and content revenue.
Total Customer Relationships increased by 320,000 to 23.0 million in the third quarter of 2022, streaming customers took in much of the growth, alongside the early start to the football season ahead of the curiously timed World Cup.
Adjusted EBITDA for Sky decreased 27.9% to $701 million in the third quarter of 2022.
For the nine months ended September 30, 2022, Adjusted EBITDA for Sky increased by 15.3% to $2.2 billion. Excluding the impact of currency, Adjusted EBITDA increased by 28.7%.
Meanwhile, Peacock paid subscribers in the United States surpassed 15 million, representing a 70% increase so far this year.
